Hello Friends and Family -
After three fantastic days in a beautiful wilderness setting where we all felt very pampered, we left Maasai Mara this morning, had a good brisk drive, with a picnic on the eastern escarpment overlooking the Geat Rift Valley. We made it to Red Rose at lunch time, where there was pandemonium (in a nice way) when our group arrived. Screams of joy all around, lots of song, dancing, hugging, chatting, reconnecting.
We had a nice party meal of pilau and sodas for the children, and just time being together. We stopped at a grocery store after Red Rose to pick up some snacks for tomorrow's drive to Amboseli.
The weather is lovely, everyone is in great spirits, although we are all already talking about how short the trip has been. One of the ideas that has come up is that we should do a trip for parents next year. What do you all think?
Tonight I will burn some CD's of images from Samburu, Nakuru, and Maasai Mara that my brother Jeff can upload to the blog for all.

I can just imagine the happy faces when you all pulled up to RedRose,and I'm not justing talking about the little kids!
Thanks for checking in. Of course, I can't wait to see all the new photos. (I can't tell you how many people have emailed me about Caitlin kissing a giraffe! It was a delightful moment for all who know her and her passion for animals.)

Caitlin is going crazy over all kinds of animals and critters here, it's like paradise for her ... frogs, insects , lizards, giraffes, elephants, monkeys ... The photos will have endless stories behind them.

I love the idea of the veteran Kenyan group hosting the parents next summer, I am ready to sign up immediately. It is so terrific hearing and seeing all your adventures - I check the blog several times daily and feel happily rewarded by all of you with you words and pictures. Thank you Ken for setting up such an incredible experience for everyone, and to all you lucky chaperones for being there.
