Possible Documentary of our Trip

Hey guys! What do you all think of making a mini documentary of our trip? It could really help with awareness at school (especially since I've heard comments suggesting all we are doing is throwing money at this). It would also be great for the lower school- the kids at Red Rose could answer their questions on video, and that could be part of the documentary. It could also help with future fundraising. Hilary and Dominique have video cameras, right? And we could also include photos from our trip and background information on Kibera. I think it could be really fun! - Allison

We need to make a documentary. I have learnt how to use the Windows MovieMaker software, and it is not too hard to do. I imagine the iMovie software on Mac computers may be even easier. We can use photos, sounds, and video footage all together. See the example video of the lower school kids in their assembly that I edited down from 30 minutes of footage to a final 9 minute clip.

I will also be bringing a digital video camera. Anyone interested in being our lead video-grapher/cameraman? It's a very small and simple camera to use, not tapes or discs, just a hard drive and memory stick.

I think this sounds like a great idea -- especially if we can edit the footage to be appropriate for the different divisions. For example, Upper School will need a different levle of information than the Lower Schoolers will be able to uese.
